Your Most Beautiful Pitch and Place (2024)

This work-in-progress is performer-focused and site-specific. Each performer’s contribution will determine how the piece will sound. The core of this exercise is to develop the performer’s listening sensitivity. The performer will access and associate their significant past memories and manifest the pathway to/of them.

Score:

Part I (Pitch)

  • In your own definition of beauty, find the most beautiful pitch with your vocal through being in this space.
  • After finding your pitch, confirm your location and stay with the pitch, then play around with the articulation of the pitch. (variations will come)

Part II (Place)

  • Again, in your own definition of beauty, walk the pathway of your most beautiful place in the space. (be mindful of the body and perception change)
  • Place a piece of paper behind every step until you’ve reached the end of the path.

Part III (All together)

  • Do all the steps above simultaneously at your own pace.
  • Only do the path once.
